With me and my 拍档, James, we created this new board game. ^^

Thanks to all my sporty/bimbotic/搞怪 experienced models, the activity was successful and ended in laughter.

June Holidays are here!

The lack of activity on this blog simply reflects the fact that red angels have been buzzing with so much activity in real life, that we can finally take a breather to offer some updates. =)

Photos for June camp 2010 are up on fb. If you're there, you'd have been tagged. Haha. Due to privacy issues, the photos are only made visible to SHG volunteers so if you can't see them please add Chenyi or me as friend on fb! =) 

Volunteers Appreciation Dinner was held on 12th June 2010. Hmm... I would say it was pretty cosy... Not as exciting as the BBQ we had 2 years ago! This is the group photo as ssc folks. =) Anyway note the change in banner! We're no longer Redhill Student Service Centre, but CDAC @ Redhill. This means that we're moving away from a student-centric centre to a multipurpose platform, serving a larger community of workers, elderly etc. No change to what Red Angels will have to do in SHG, but there'd probably be more events or varying nature coming up in the next few years. It'd be nice if we would be able to lend our support!

With that, I'm also proud to announce that my partner co-ordinator, Mr Seow, will be sitting in the VLMC (Volunteer Lounge Management Committee) for the next 2 years. The VLMC initiates and executes major events, such as Ready for School and C.A.R.E project for the elderly. So please make good use of him to channel good ideas or lobangs that you may have to the committee! heehee!

World Cup is here! Wanna watch together? hahaha!
Btw, there will be a few random k outings and pool outings and movie outings. Keep a look out! haha. Very spontaneous ones la. Just come down if you free okay?

Sat sessions are still on for the P6es. If you miss SHG, can come down to drill the kids for their PSLE also. =)

Since its the Chinese New Year, we shall got to Chinatown!

KBOX at Lucky Chinatown from 2pm to 7pm.

Followed by steamboat buffet at Imperial Skye Gardens Hotpot City at Cross Street. 7.30pm to night.

Other activities: Phototaking, Chitchatting, Collecting Angbaos, Nua-ing, Tarot Card Reading for the Tiger Year...

Ready for School

Hello! This is an update on our latest event, Ready for School!

As usual, we had the packing of vouchers.. =)

The guys were in charge of moving the goodie packs, while the girls were stationed at the distribution counters. Xueling appeared on the news!

I guess the more interesting part started after the goodie pack distribution. We stayed at HQ to play Saboteur. =P Yuhan finally won some gold after a few rounds.

Then we headed down to Clarke Quay's Game Haven to play Wii. Me, Xueling, Yuhui, Pohjee, James, Jenyi and Cheeyun. Now we know who has no motor skills, and who is in need of improving her guitar skills. =P

The original plan was to stay overnight but I guess we were all too old for that =P

After the distribution today, we had a pool session and ate char kuay teow from a famous stall in marine parade. There was a lot of leftover..... yup...

Okae.. that's a short update! =D Any photos, anyone?

Next up would be the chalet and 2 weddings. Looking forward to 2010!
